High Lift Grouting

Grouting adds extra strength in walls and columns and raises its load bearing capabilities. Using Grout Pump for pouring cement or grout in hollow blocks or cavity instantly increases the power of walls.

Methods of Grouting

Grouting can be done in two ways, High-Lift and Low-Lift. Low lift grouting is less preferable, because through this method only 4-foot height wall can be grouted in one day with no cleanouts.  In this method, a hand bucket is used to place small amount of grout.

High-Lift grouting is another and popular grouting method which is used for high volume grout pumping jobs. This method of grouting is fully based on your project scope, available equipment, and your experience in field of grouting.

Benefits of High-Life Grouting

After construction it is seen that there is hole between masons in walls and especially in corners. Filling these holes through small grouting method takes much time and involves great risk. So, the high-lift grouting method is used.

In this method a team of minimum 4 people will work at a time. It enables high productivity and completes the works within limited time. All four workers have their specified task, first one handles the pump hose to pour grout at the destination and second one helps in moving the large hose pipe. The rest 2 persons will be at grout pump equipment. Third one manages the air compressor and vibrator to manage fluid flow. The last one manages the equipment and ready mix truck keeps an eye on grout quality.

Inspection is required

No matter how perfect your grouting is, it will be worthless if you do not inspect the constructed walls and masonry properly. So, before you start using grout pump for your high-lift grouting project you just need to inspect job sites and confirm:

  • All horizontal and vertical portions are properly poisoned and capable to grab grout easily.
  • Vertical cells must have a support so that grout can stay properly.
  • Walls and masons don’t lay black

Precautions for High-Lift Grout Pumping

Since, high-lift grout pumping is used for heavy projects, so it also requires flawless work. Interference or discontinuing the grouting process might cause cracking or other issues. So, be careful while pouring. And also perform concrete curing process properly.
